Georgia Renaissance Festival
I think I just stepped into the twilight zone.
Back in the day when the Ohio Renaissance Festival first opened, there was a newspaper clipping which in part stated:
“Peter Carroll , who owned the Atlanta Renaissance Festival , wanted to establish a similar event in Ohio . He spent several weeks driving around Warren County without finding a suitable spot. The night before returning to Atlanta, he saw a 105-acre soybean field near Harveysburg and bought the site the next day. He has since added 85 more acres. “

While looking for information on the Atlanta Renaissance Festival, all I could come up with was the Georgia Renaissance Festival. While poking around their web site, I found this map and I thought I had entered the twilight zone.

Is it just me or does this look very familiar? This is very weird. It looks very much like the maps of the Ohio Renaissance Festival and the Georgia Renaissance Festival are very, very similar. Not sure why that kind of wierds me out.

Of course they look the same. a lot of the owners of faires work together to come up with the most efficient and crowd controling site that has good traffic patterns and the best use of space in order to get the most vendors in the smallest amount of space.

Renniemommy - Could be, but I don’t know of another event looks as similiar and it does look like a lot of people think Peter Carroll was part owner of the one in Georgia for some time.
