Don’t Eat the Food!

We would like you to boycott the Ohio Renaissance Festival for what we consider to be not only unethical but flat immoral business conduct.  Our grievances are spelled out at the following URL along with property records, photographs, and more evidence that our issued are not invented.

However, if you simply can not boycott the Ohio Renaissance Festival, why not boycott all food and beverage sales at the event.  This will not only help to get the message across, but perhaps save you from a very unpleasant experience as we have pointed to what we feel are numerous health code violations.

If you eat the food at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, do so at your own risk.  We have contacted them many times asking them to address the many problems, which seem to jeopardize the health of the general public; they haven’t bothered to reply once.

Urine Problem - Did you know employees / volunteers have urinated outdoors behind the food booths and then returned to work without bothering to wash their hands?

Uncovered Food – Did you know food has been routinely served outside without a cover.  How many bugs will enjoy your food before you do?  How many birds will poop on it before you do?

Lack of Refrigeration – Would you eat cheese that has been baking in the sun uncovered for unknown hours?  How about cheese filled pretzels or cheese spread that comes out of a pretzel hawkers pocket.  Is cheese supposed to be stored at or above body temperature?

Water Contaminants – Every buy a lemon ice or ice cream in a paper container?  Ever wonder why it is against health code to keep these things cold by emerging them in ice water?  Its because the water can carry contaminants right into your food.

Help yourself, help the protest, and don’t eat the food.  Demand the Ohio Renaissance Festival be properly inspected by health department officials.  Demand the Ohio Renaissance Festival follow the health codes that mom and pop restaurants must.  Demand that multi millionaires do not skate on the laws which small businesses must follow.
