Don’t Eat the Food!
We have an issue with the Ohio Renaissance Fair / Festival due to its treatment of merchants, performers, and the many other people involved with the event. We have created this site to keep these people as well as patrons informed of our grievances and the strives we make for reform.
We DO NOT want you to boycott the festival itself. If you boycott the festival, you hurt the good people who we hope to help. So instead, we ask that if you are going to attend the Ohio Renaissance Fair / Festival, you simply do not eat the food, do not drink the drink, do not visit the bars. Instead, spend your money with the merchants and tipping the performers.
Spend what money you would on food, drink, and beer with the good people who have built the fair, on the people who we feel live in terror of its owner Peter Carroll and the self serving puppet master Marietta Marcin. For as you will learn if you browse the pages of this site, these people need your help. After years of building the atmosphere of the event, the climate has changed for many to one of utter abuse.
Merchants who have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars to build or purchase buildings are having their buildings taken away from them without any compensation. Others who see the doom of the faire coming seek to sell their buildings but seem thwarted by a woman who seems to be keeping secret their desire to leave her torment.
In truth, we have very little against Peter Carroll. We believe that after a series of strokes, he is cognitively impaired and down right angry about his diminished physical abilities. We believe that in his current state, he has become susceptible to the influence of a self serving individual who now has him wrapped around her little finger so tightly, that when she implants lie after lie into his mind; he believes the results are his own opinion when in fact he is simply acting on exactly what he was fed. Of course this is all opinion. We are neither lawyers nor doctors.
Unfortunately, because we believe Peter Carroll has been manipulated by Marietta Marcin into using the Ohio Renaissance Faire / Festival to hurt so many people, good people that we have come to love, that we must take action and do what we can to bring about either the sale of the festival to a leval headed individual / organization which will respect those involved or for Peter Carroll to finally recognize what Marietta Marcin is causing him to do to good hard working people who have never intended him any harm.
The lies and manipulations must end. Send a message! Stop supporting the people who abuse the good people of the Ohio Renaissance Faire / Festival. Don’t buy their Food. Don’t buy their drink. Don’t buy their beer. Don’t shop at the souvenir booths. Don’t shop at the clothing booths owned by Peter Carroll.
This year, spend you money with the people who deserve it!
